The final grading for the Helensville dojo was on December 3rd
Okinawa Shorin Ryu NZ Hombu dojo at Stanmore Bay Whagaparaoa held its December grading presentation and Paul Williams Memorial Trophy Presentation for 2009.
Guests Val, Kevin and Pauline representing the Williams family presented the "Paul Williams Memorial Trophy" to Russell Wilkinson from the Helensville dojo for his work and contributions to the club.
In November 2009 Shihan Kevin,Sensei Tim and seniors Wayne and Mike travelled to Taree,New South Wales, Australia, to attend the Matsubayashi Ryu Karate Association of Australia's seminar featuring Okinawan master Soke Takayoshi Nagamine 10th dan. A dinner arranged by seminar host Sensei John Carlyle was an opportunity for the kiwi's to meet,mix and mingle with other Matsubayashi Ryu practitioners prior to the seminar.
